Raised in Idaho, Heather has built a distinguished career spanning decades, specializing in compelling documentary and narrative projects, particularly those with Native American themes.
From 1996 to 2001, Heather directed the Native program at the prestigious Sundance Institute, a testament to her deep commitment to fostering underrepresented voices in cinema. She later co-founded True West and the True West Cinema Film Festival in Idaho, further solidifying her dedication to nurturing independent filmmaking.
Heather's filmography is marked by critical success and industry accolades.
