Joelle Ater is a dynamic artist, visionary community builder, and creative strategist, joining CO\\OP Studios as an Executive Producer. Her work sits at the powerful intersection of creativity, technology, and human connection, making her an invaluable asset in shaping the studio's content and creative culture.
As an abstract expressionist painter, Joelle's energetic acrylic work is characterized by a "poetic intensity," a vibrant exploration of motion and emotion that has been featured in British Vogue and exhibited at the prestigious Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. This creative vision is complemented by her keen business acumen, as demonstrated by her roles as Creative Director for both Basecamp Tech Fest and the nonprofit Riley’s Residence (focused on housing for the IDD community).
Joelle is deeply invested in developing the local art community, a commitment that will be crucial for CO\\OP Studios' integration of local talent. She is the founder of Art Revel Gallery, in addition to serving as Education Chair for the Boise Open Studios Collective. She is also a co-founder of Basecamp Tech Fest, a community dedicated to empowering people to use technology to enhance humanity—a philosophy that perfectly aligns with CO\\OP Studios' goal of building a "Creative Industrial Solution."
Across all her roles, Joelle’s work is rooted in advocacy and the belief that art and creativity can transform lives. Her extensive ties to the Idaho artistic community, coupled with her ability to translate creative vision into actionable strategies, will be essential in helping the studio integrate and utilize local creative and technical talent while delivering globally resonant content.
